Things about me

Things about me

*I had to learn to walk again

*I can’t lay flat without a bipap.

*I have to use a bipap machine at night to sleep.

*I still don’t have full use of my right arm

*I can’t walk without oxygen

*I can’t walk for long with oxygen because of muscle wastage.

*I can’t sit upright for long in a wheelchair or scooter because of the same reason. (My bum hurts)

*I still have fibromyalgia and hyper mobility syndrome as well as all the new stuff covid left me with.

*My phrenic nerve injury gives me constant migraines as well as arm pain.

*I’m overweight because of the medication I’m on and not being able to exercise.

*I do not over eat.

*In fact I was on a liquid diet through a nasal feeding tube for 6 weeks and was the same weight coming out as I was going in.

*I cant eat anything without needing to go on a bipap machine afterwards because I cough uncontrollably.

*I sometimes wonder why I survived and do many didn’t.

I need a full time carer to help me…

  • Wash

  • Dress

  • Prepare food and drink

  • Do my Medication

  • Accompany me to appointments.

*I’m house bound without a carer.

*I feel like a massive burden

*I’m aware talking about covid on social media gets on peoples nerves but what I need you to know is I’m still living it. It’s not over for me, or for people like me. We’re not going to disappear because everyone has had enough of hearing about it.

I can’t just get on with it.
