Post 6 Text Messages

Text messages.

This morning I decided to connect my iPhone to my desktop, as it was loading I saw that there were loads of messages from Martin and the kids. It was so so sad. Martin was talking to me like he normally does, telling me he loves me and that he can’t wait for me to come home,

Izzy the same. Talking to me as if I was going to answer. It made me cry. By the time I got to Williams texts I was balling my eyes out. He was sending me pictures on a daily basis of what he had cooked for himself, he was moaning about Izzy and dad.

Then there was a couple that really got me. William said “I saw you on video call yesterday and its made me really sad” then Izzy “hopefully we get to talk again soon, I love you lots mama, I need you!”so while I picked myself up from the puddle of tears on the floor I decided that what I’m going to do, along with all of my cards and Facebook/WhatsApp messages is print them all off and scrap book them. Photos too. I’m thinking that in 100 years my great great grandchildren will appear on the antiques roadshow with a book of my Covid memoirs.

You never know they might even get a few quid for them.
